Laura Netzel -festival 2024
Our fourth Laura Netzel -festival in Rantasalmi.
Violinist Lev Berkovskiy, pianist Juan Pablo Muñoz Bulla, soloists Johanna Takalo (soprano), Minna Raassina (altto), Benjamin Klemettinen (tenori), Olli-Tapio Tikkanen (basso), Nomad Vocals and other musicians. Premiere of Petteri Nieminen's orchestration of Laura Netzel's Stabat Mater and other pieces of mainly female composers.

Christmas songs and vocals music from female composers. Piano Juho Purontaus, harp Katilyne Roels, flute Outi Nieminen, singing and ocarina Kauri Pylkkänen, singing Minna Raassina. Premiere of Minna Raassina's christmas songs.

Laura Netzel -festival 2023
A three day festival of classical music in Rantasalmi. Supported by South Savo Regional Fund. Quartet ILME, Nomad Vocals, Ensemble Kuohu, Takapotku and other musicians. Premiere of Ida Moberg's Miniatur för orkester and first time in Finland Laura Netzel's Fantaisie to the text by King Oskar II for recitation and orchestra.

Premiere of restored version of Helvi Leiviskä's Piano concerto in d-major, soloist Oliver Triendl from Germany. Also premieres of Morfydd Owen's Death Music (1916) and Ida Moberg's Lifvets sång (1909).

Laura Netzel -festival 2022
A three day festival supported by South Savo Regional Fund. Duo Lago, Savo Music Society's orchestra, violinist Lev Berkovskiy, flutist Outi Nieminen, tenor Petri Bäckström, Nomad Vocals and other musicians. Premieres of Elfrida Andrée's Symfonisats f-moll and orchestrated versions of Amanda Maier-Röntgen & Julius Röntgen's Schwedische Weisen und Tänze and Laura Netzel's Ballad.

Varjoista valoon
Savo Music Society's orchestra played Ida Moberg's Tondikt "Johanne stämning" (1942) and Helvi Leiviskä's "Symphony n:o 1 op 23" (1947). Johanne stämning's premier was on summer 2021 played by our orchestra, Symphony n:o 1 op 23 was premiered in 1948, but it was last heard in December 1951.

A four day festival full of classical music especially composed by women. Savo Music Society's orchestra, pianist Stefan Lindgren, soprano Ann-Christin Högnabba, tenor Petri Bäckström and other musicians. Premieres of Ida Moberg's Tone Poem Johanne stämning (1942) and finale from opera "The Light of Asia (1945).

Laura Netzel:
Piano concerto
The forgotten piano concerto by Laura Netzel was performed by pianist Stefan Lindgren, Saimaa Sinfonietta and conductor Erkki Lasonpalo on 19 October in Lappeenranta and on 20 October in Mikkeli. The Society's orchestra performed the concerto, Elfrida Andrée's Overture in G minor and Ida Moberg's Ballet Scene from the opera The light of Asia on 21 and 22 November in Kuopio and Varkaus.
